As the global COVID-19 pandemic continues its impact around the world, Christie Cookie Co., a part of the Rich Products family, is responding through actions, resources and compassion.
Our top priority is protecting the health and safety of our associates and those we do business with – including customers, suppliers, partners, visitors and all their families. Because so many people count on the products we produce and jobs we provide, we’re focused on continuing to service our customers, without interruption, to the best of our ability.
Food Handling Christie Cookie Co. takes hygiene and food safety seriously. Our facility follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) as defined by the FDA, which include strong personal hygiene (frequent hand washing, use of gloves and hairnets), as well as facility sanitation standards and food production safety controls. We continue to follow these practices today and have increased and enhanced our methods to include more frequent sanitizing, social distancing, use of face masks or shields, and other CDC-recommended precautions. Everything we do - from food preparation to storage – is done to ensure the safety and integrity of our products.
Social Distancing & Remote Work We are committed to doing our part to protect the communities where we live and work. We are making a concerted effort to practice social distancing and reduce the volume of people in our buildings. Specifically, we are requiring all associates who can work from home to do so, leveraging technology and digital collaboration tools to continue their work.
CDC Comments on Food Safety The CDC stated that no cases of COVID-19 have been identified where infection occurred by touching food, food packages or shopping bags. There is no evidence that food is associated with spreading the COVID-19 virus. Learn more here.
Supporting Our Community Christie Cookie Co. continues to support our community in meaningful ways. In addition to donating to local charities, a portion of the proceeds from our signature Healthcare Heroes Cookie Tin is being gifted to the Monroe Carrel Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt.
